Atos Research & Innovation Digital Show is an event organized by the R&D department of Atos Spain. This event will show some of the most relevant solutions developed through research projects financed by the European Commission.
EO4wildlife will be presented during this second edition. The agenda and registration page are now available.
The EO4wildlife Project, funded by the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme, started three years ago with the primary objective of allowing management authorities, biologists and ecologists to easily access and process earth observation data.
Every three years the international sea turtle community in the Mediterranean hold a conference to discuss findings, inspire each other and promote the conservation and research of sea turtles across the region.
The EO4wildlife project was presented during the poster session.
The fifth EO4wildlife Newsletter is now available. The Newsletter includes the announcement of the project final event. The event will provide insight into the EO4wildlife results on Friday 23rd of November 2018. Toulouse has been chosen as place to host this event and present the EO4wildlife platform.
This issue also includes an article about the third Advisory Board meeting that took place in Paris. During 2018 the project has also been promoted in relevant events worldwide (Japan, France, Malaysia and USA). A summary of these events has been included in this newsletter.

During the event, ATOS representatives answered questions about the project using the poster and dissemination material (project brochure, newsletter, ….)
In May took place a new consortium meeting in Paris. The project team presented the last version of the platform to the Advisory Board members in order to gather feedback to improve the use and appearance of the EO4wildlife platform.
Sir David Attenborough, the internationally renowned naturalist and broadcaster once said: “An understanding of the natural world and what’s in it is a source of not only a great curiosity but great fulfilment.” His most recent series, Blue Planet 2 and Planet Earth 2, have highlighted the stark reality that our planet, this giver of joy, is in more danger than ever before. From plastics poisoning marine life to destroying our birds’ natural habitats with over-foresting - the natural world around us might never recover unless industries, governments and individuals are willing to act.
During the event, UNEXE was able to promote the EO4wildlife project and platform in a workshop. The event was very relevant to EO4wildlife as many attendees use tracking as part of their research toolkit and hence the EO4wildlife platform will be of use to them.
On the 31st of January took place the second Review meeting in Brussels. The EO4wildlife team presented the current status of the project and the work done during the second year of the project. The last version of the EO4wildlife platform was showed presenting the main features and current services of the tool.
Before the Review Meeting, the EO4wildlife team also planned the next steps of the project for 2018.
The fourth EO4wildlife Newsletter has just been released. This issue includes a detailed article about the EO4wildlife platform where you can find out not only the appearance but also the main features.
The second section of this newsletter is devoted to present some of the main events where the
EO4wildlife project has been presented in 2017. Last year, the project was presented in more than fifteen relevant events.
