The work of the EO4wildlife team continues in the second year of the project. The fifth consortium meeting took place in Cambridge (UK) from 21st to 23rd of March. The consortium is finalizing the second version of the platform including the project scenarios.

The second EO4wildlife Newsletter is now available in the project website (Newsletter section). In this issue you can find an interesting interview regarding the Turtle Use Case and the EO4wildlife Platform. The profile of the Advisory Board members is also included in this version.
In the fourth consortium meeting the partners presented progress made during these months, we are very close of the first release of our platform!
On this occasion we had the opportunity to meet and share a day with some members of the Advisory Board. Thank you was a pleasure!

Kick-off meeting, ATOS BTIC, Madrid, 11-12/01/2016
On January 11th 2016 took place the kick-off meeting of the project in Madrid. The place chosen was the Business Technology & Innovation Center placed at Atos headquarters.

On March 22nd 2016 took place the second meeting of the project in Toulouse.
The Copernicus Masters competition 2016 is now open for submissions - with new challenges, renowned partners and an immense prize pool.
Space technologies have the potential to transform scientific project back on Earth. As a member of the European Commissions’ EO4wildlife project, Atos is designing and developing a platform that will enable scientists around the world to analyse wildlife movements using the Sentinel satellites’ observation data of the European Union’s Copernicus program to support projects to study the habitat of various migrating animals. These earth observation satellites are generating unprecedented volumes of data.
