Final Event

The EO4wildlife Project, funded by the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme, started three years ago with the primary objective of allowing management authorities, biologists and ecologists to easily access and process earth observation data.

This multi-disciplinary collaboration between Atos, CLS, Agence Française pour la Biodiversité, BirdLife International, IT Innovation Centre - University of Southampton and the University of Exeter, is now ready to launch its platform. The platform will offer high level services that can be accessed by scientists to assist them conduct their respective research.

To mark the project’s successful completion, and share these results, we are organising an EO4wildlife Final Event. We think this event will be of interest for you, and we will be pleased to have your participation.

Learn how EO4wildlife tackled the challenges of combining animal tracking with data on earth observation variables as a fundamental approach for studying a population’s ecology and behaviour.

Experience the EO4wildlife services based on dedicated scenarios that were founded on the interest of different scientific communities: seabirds, sea turtles, marine mammals, and pelagic fishes.

The event will be organized in two main slots. The first part will be devoted to presentations by EO4wildlife members presenting the project results and including a live demonstration of the platform. The second part will be more interactive and split in two panel discussions around the usability and sustainability of platforms like EO4wildlife.

And above all, meet the experts and discuss these topics with them!

Registration is now open!

The EO4wildlife Final Event will take place on Friday 23/11/2018 in Toulouse (France) at the Cité de l’espace - Altair room.
